Our goal is to take care of the whole person, spirit, soul and body. When you enter the Courage House property, you will find a place that is peaceful, and stunning in natural beauty. The grounds are well-kept. The view will inspire. The sound of flowing water is nearby. You well sense a tangible peace as you enter.
The main attraction will be the Sanctuary and Retreat Center. This is a place of gathering - gathering for worship, training, conferences for equipping in all arenas of Christian growth, and other events that follow the mission of the site. At its capacity, just over 1000 people will be accommodated. A kitchen will provide food or catering service as needed.
Another important attraction will be the 25 or 30 accommodations for visitors to stay for the specified length program for healing, detoxification, training and family support programs. These programs, which are designed to bring health to the whole person will include prayer, counseling, infrared sauna-hot stretch exercises, all in a surrounding of peaceful gardens, waterfalls, and the natural environment.
Courage House will also provide for-profit professional clinic and retail services for visitors. These services will model a multi-team approach with natural health practitioners while supporting Courage House financially, augmenting the resources needed to maintain the Courage House mission. All for-profit providers will be trained in the health-care approach which defines this ministry and agree to cooperate with ethics guidelines established by Open Heart Ministry.
When Mary Oliver was given the vision for healing centers - as the vision developed - she believes the Holy Spirit indicated that the baptismal would be like a pool of Bethesda - a Biblical reference to a pool in Jerusalem where an angel was assigned to deliver healing to those who entered the water. She saw that many who had lost all hope to receive healing from traditional medical means would come and be raised from their death beds. It would be a place of His presence and many would experience and know Yeshua in a personal way.
We have a vision of a main sanctuary with water running through it and garden pockets around the water for prayer, comtemplation and meditation. The water would flow into a baptismal pool for and be a place for healing, salvation, and the miraculous.
Courage House will be a beautiful place.
